The disciplines of photography and performance have developed an intricate relationship in the course of their respective history. In fact it could well be said that they mutually helped one another to be finally accepted by high art institutions in the later part of the 20th century. In this new edition of his mad conferences, Professor Ma explores the rich interaction of these two disciplines in a two parts presentation – their history as well as the expansion in relation between the two mediums.

About the Lecher of Art
The Lecher of Art is a series of performance-lectures premised on contradicting the authoritative, anticipated and doctrinal manner in which lectures are conventionally delivered. This second series runs from April - November 2012, and will host six lecturers, each of who will engage the audience in a unique set of propositions, conflicts and possibilities – symbolising the controversy between the lecture, the lecturer, and the lecher of art.
