The film takes us back to 1945 when the young surgeon Dr. Ivan Roumenov, the assistant of Prof. Alexander Stanishev shot by the People’s Tribunal, is interned to Varna. There he meets the Armenian photographer Dikran – the town’s favourite. Through Dikran Dr. Rumenov discovers again true friendship and the joy of living. Unfortunately Dikran suffers an accident and his condition is critical. Doctors give no hopes about his life. Then a beautiful woman appears at the hospital and wants to marry Dikran in spite of his hopeless condition...
