Actually "N" or "O" Levels is quite common. They need to know that you have some basic qualifications and experience for the job. It is the same thing as you can't employ someone without a driving lisence as a driver or a surgeon who has not gone thru medical school.

Last time Diploma or Degree is a "BIG" thing but nowadays it is quite common as well.

i got a friend who dont have cerf but got experience, his income close to 7k a month and he just going to turn 30. He is a technian at a private ship company

It depends on what type of job. Sales jobs don't need much qualification but an office clerk needs some qualifications or else how to type invoices and letters.

You still need technical qualifications like NTC certs. Being a ship technician is not easy and the risk is higher than an office job. His pay is high becos it includes OT, right?

Mostly apply to service line / technical job...

Office job still need N / O level...

That is a long long long ago... Technician no need Cert... 10 years ago only need experience... You say now he turning 30 tell you if he now go find new job he will have a hard time...

Now at lease Nitec 2 / Nitec 3 / Higher Nitec...



Trust me I had difficult time in looking for a job... 5 years ago alot of company want hire me... but now.... 4 months liao still no job...

Singapore need CERTI to find a job, without certi, it really very hard to find one, unless find a cleaner jobs, i think it will be very easy, but they only hire older people, and sure no Certi really hard, as i dun have any O and N level certi, for me is also damn hard, despite i have Dream

this is just a paper entry qualification for the company, when u go in the company yr performace will be another factor for promotion or advancement. so do not be so hard on yourself.

you dun need paper qulification if you got the experience. but always people wants to use qualification as a proof that u are really "skillful".
not matter how good u are in ur resume, without the "paper" u cant convince u are really skillful unless some1, in the company, know that you are really experience & recommend you for the job. on the other hand, some1 with qualification but totally inexperience, definitely will have the higher chance of getting an interview or even chosen for the job.

difference between diploma & degree is that 1 is engineer assistant the other is engineer.

To be a cleaner, you need to obtain a NSRS or WSQ certificate. If you don't know, don't anyhow hum tam!
