If possible, do wired.
Wireless is slightly slower and need more security settings.

wireless is definitely secured if u have the encryption measures in place for your network.

secondly u have to make sure that ur laptop has with wifi capability (which most laptops will have)

Yup, your laptop need to be wifi enabled.

You'll need a router as well and i will say wired is much more better than wireless.

Your laptop needs to be wi-fi capable. Nowadays, most modern laptop comes with in-built wi-fi so that is not much of a problem.

You also need a wireless router. Wireless router allows you to have wired and wireless connectivity.

Wired is secure but at the expense of mobility.

Wireless provided the mobility but in term of security, it depends on the type of encryption used. Unless, the hacker is so determined to hack into your network otherwise most wireless encryptions are secure enough.

My suggestion will be not to use wireless as it will be much more troublesome and the speed will be greatly decreased. But if you really do need the wireless feature. Buy a wireless router with good connection speed and make sure that your laptop has a intergrated wireless card to prevent damage.

I'm using wireless rite now. For linksys, there is some bad point abt it
You need to turn ON the modem and router then turn ON your com.

If reverse the order, u can't connect to internet
