Default Wii help!

OK I bought a JApan mod Wii and tried playing friendly games but it keeps coming out an error question mark message. All the friendly games have the same problem. HOWW?

Do you think you can take a screenshot of the error you encountering and post here?

Oh ya, when I load the game, the graphics will show the DVD spinning (for normal cases, its animation would be spinning for a long time before being 'inserted to the slot' right?). However, mine just spin for a while before the message comes out.

Not 100% true...but only about 70% of games from other region can be loaded onto Jap wii console. Alternatively, you can run "freeloader" and load other regions games or you "soft mod" the game titles.

Could it be that your game discs are "slightly scratched"? What kind of game discs are you running? Have you tried running any game titles from jap region?

Cheers!

Hi. I tried running some jap titles and it fails too. Some of the DVDs are still new, so it can't be because of the scratches. Most of the people I asked claimed that my Wii is semi-bricked. Haiz, just bought it and cannot play already

Ouh yes, would anyone teach me how to update ur modchip etc etc. And how to stop games from updating set? Basically how not to brick ur Wii. Thanks

1) this should not be happening... do u know wat mod chip is it?
2) i do not think yr set is semi brick cos even if is so, is still able to run the games.
3) diff mod chips, diff ways of updating.

Currently there is a way to unbrick "semi brick" set,

a) Well, I'm curious as to find out what kind of gamediscs have you got?
b) Updating of modchips, rarely needed..but do you happen to know what mod chip are you running in your console?
c) Basically by not bricking your wii, simple, do not insert games of other regions other than the games from your wii console region.

I suspect you've got a "weak" laser lens for your wii console. Maybe you'd like to get it replaced/exchanged from where you bought it?

Cheers!

I'll inform you the chipo I'm using once I get it back from repairs. Anyways, I wanna play english-language based games on my Japanese Wii, but as you say, that means I cannot play US games? Are there Japan-region games which are English-languaged. I heard this thing called the Freeloader which is able to set region-free for the Wii.

Anyone can confirm this>? Sorry noob here lol
