my view point is:
when someone feels happy about you that means the person is being loved by you and you are loving the person, it is one direction of love, this is the love of mankind between human and human, and it is different from substantial love, eg. i love to have more money, i love going to zoo, etc.

with the definition above, when A loves B *AND* B loves A, means they are loving each other and this is a "couple love"

if you are happy about yourself, this is "self-love"

there are many other meanings of love to be found in each situation

love is all about scarifice, honor, trust and commitment to each other. one will go through many obstacles to get love. it fills with sadness, happiness, and sometimes it HURTS. but that is the reality of true love. only the one who can feel the spice can get into the rhythm.

love is something precious and from ones soul. it can not be bought from supermarket, online because it has to many ingredients that makes it delicious or not. just like baking a cake it can be done excellent or the other way around. make sure you appreciate it before its too late.

love is an emotion, can feel but cant hold on to, can heal yet can incinerate, can blind one yet enable u to c more clearly, with it can give u hope or despair alike, can b simple yet complicated.

So wat is love?

Love is actually never the same thing. Your destiny, your future path, what you choose to do, that all determines what love is. Love is never the same, you make up the meaning of love by how you choose to use it.

The philosophers didn't fail. Just that nobody had a geniune consensus of what it is. Afterall, emotion is an evolving science, a sociological phenomenon, changing and changed.

To me, Love is just perceptions of self. To you, it meant another.

Love is letting you always see your partner's good side and no bad side. Once you feel ur partner a lot of things gotta be change,that's no more true love as love is blind with all goodness
