Vintage Chocs It was love at first bite with these 100% Chocolate Cafe chocolates by Meiji. Sweet tooths will ppreciate the range of 56 carefully concocted flavours made by using blends of selected cocoa beans worldwide. I tried five flavours one after another, including Meiji De Luxe 1957, the number referring to a recipe concocted that year.
The Aztecan Red Chili (41) and Aztecan Black Pepper (42) left a fiery and peppery after-taste espectively, each lingering for a good five minutes. As for the dark chocolate offerings Madagascar 06) and Cameroon (04), they were smooth and had the right rich bitter-sweet taste. The only bummer? Theyost a bomb coming in 5cm squares: Numbers 1 to 24c each costs $4.50 while it's $3.50 each for25 to 56.
