it's probably SMU interviews. sigh. i shall continuing praying for my interview turn.

Anyways, acceptance is usually in May, so all we can do in apr is anticipate and go for interviews

as long as u've got at least a BBC u stand a pretty gd chance at NUS or NTU. but the thing bout getting a D for GP is that u'll have to sit for an english test prior to your admission. if you don't pass this test then you'll have to attend compulsory english classes that are a complete waste of time. if u're interested in arts and humanities NUS is definitely the better choice.

as for SIM, u can get in with MUCH lower grades.

don't worry man, SMU interviews are for show only. They look mostly at ur grades, PW and CCA records. they questioned me ALOT regarding my CCA involvement.

mine is group interview, then they like never ask alot of things for me leh... ): and the interview is for my third choice lor... haiiz! gone liao lar... my results not good, PW grade also not good. cca involvement okay nia (only get national first. so what)

...i hope u're being sarcastic cos nationals first place is a big deal. they'd love to exploit such ppl to boost the uni's reputation.

if is get the letters in may, then i can breathe for now... so scary lar! last time scared A level, then scared result, then scared cannot get into uni, now scared cannot get into our choice of course...

that is the biggest cca achievement lor, and the national first is team what... big deal meh

oh...i thought u were frm some solo sport. cos i was from cross country and to come in first in nationals is a very big deal. i've got frens who'd appeal in thru this and succeed. yeah, i got my admission letter in may. don't you just love the suspense? ;p

In my year they were still accepting SAT verbal scores of >600 or 700 in place of GP if yr GP results < B3... I took the verbal SAT as a safety net hahaha. It's damn easy to get the required grade one - easier than GP anyway, which is damn touch and go.

if you can make it for SATs and they still accept, try that?

And anyway right, if you're not looking at a professional degree, I don't think you shd worry too much abt yr first degree, it's your masters that counts these days. Every freaking person on the street has a degree, the question is whether you have a good masters.

One more word of advice - pick something you're interested in / know u will excel in.
if a course has good job prospects but you really don't like it and end up not doing well right, those job prospects still won't be open to you :p

God! 2 of my friend received the letter of acceptance le... Both of them got 3 As and 1 B. Does tat mean those who got better results will get tat letter faster coz they got accepted for the 1st round of selection??

I wonder when I will get my letter! Gosh... I'm so anxious now!!

sigh. some of my friends already have offerings from NTU and there is NO NEW for me at all! And SMU says my application is PENDING.

It's nearly end of Apr! argh.
