a male boss tends to have foul temper, not caring for workers
a female boss tends to be naggy, petty F.I.R forever! To view links or images in signatures your post count must be 10 or greater. male boss is can also be caring lol my boss in my itp company always buy food and drinks for our tea break sia
to fall in love is always easy
to start a relationship is always simple
to build it, is always tough
to maintain it, is 'better said than done'
to break off, is 'easier said than done'
to remain friends after u broke off, is never possible
to forget the memories is 'always doing but never succeeding'
to heal the pain within is hard and tough and never near simple
but one has to try to heal your own heart...

If it's a female then she must be more experienced and more knowledgeable than me. If not, she will not get my respect at all. Lao pan niang so what? *evil laugh* The last job I had was with a male boss until his wife stepped in. Piangz!!!
Now male bosses I can handle. Doesn't matter if they know nuts about their business or jobs, I can work with them and make them look good to management. Then leh, I can get freedom of time...no need to apply leave can get off days just by calling boss.
:biggrin4: It is not the place, nor the condition, but the mind alone that can make anyone happy or miserable.

Female bosses seem kind of temperamental. To view links or images in signatures your post count must be 10 or greater. You currently have 0 posts. |

Both of them have their good & bad points... quite difficult to judge who is the better boss. But to me, I would still prefer a female boss, cos I'm a female too, so think we can communicate & relate things better, since we share a lot in common. :biggrin4: |

In my current company, I've worked under a very horrible female boss and suffered quite badly in her hands. If I did a good presentation for her or wrote a good report for her to present, she'll always claim all the credit and and not even give me a mention. Then in meetings, she'll always make it a point to tell the higher bosses how bad I am or how inexperienced I am, just to make herself look good in front of them.
Then a male boss (of a higher position) came in, asked me to do something for him cuz she was on leave. Then when I did that, he discovered how good I was, swept her aside and took me under his care. Of course she totally not happy, think I backstab her. This male boss is very very demanding, always must maintain a very very high level of work, but he'll always make it point to mention to the bosses that I helped him do whatever he was presenting. And demanding and stern as he is, once he gets what he wants, he'll be very chatty and fun. He once brought me out to beer when he came down to Singapore.
If it has to come down to gender. I guess male and female bosses treat males and females differently.
Male bosses will be very demanding in general to both and want a high level of success for the team. They'll be extra nice to female subordinates (gentleman mah) but will not talk with them on a close friend level (no male bonding with females mah)... Likewise, they won't be very nice to male subordinates, but after knock-off time, can be very bonded with male subordinates in a typical male-male brotherhood type of bond... Professionally, male bosses don't really bother with "nit-picking" the little details or day-to-day happenings, just looking at the big picture. The type of "dun care what you do, or how you do, as long as you produce the goods on time on target, I'm happy we're happy" type of attitude...
Female bosses are somewhat quite the opposite. They may also be very demanding in a general (all bosses trait). They may or may not treat male subordinates very well, dependant on age gap also, but they cannot talk to males on a close friend level (no girls' talk with males). Then they'll be extra strict with females, but in general, girls can bond better with each other. Professionally, female bosses are very "nit-picky". All the small day-to-day minor or even insignificant details may take more precedence than the job at hand, which may be hard to accept for guys, but girls strangely thrive on this. Work-wise, they want the goods produced on time on target, and they also want the goods produced the way they want it, steps take exactly the way they want it. "My way, or the Highway" type of attitude...
