Wat jobs can a fass student do after graduation?
cos our certs is just a fass cert.which indicates ur major and minor onlypeople sae fass is a dumping ground.
but i think likewise.
for this year batch those who din get an A hardly able to get in fass.
i have been thinking, how much pay will i get after graduation.what jobs can i do.if i major in econs, will my cert be inferior to an ntu student who got an economics cert?
u can go government agencies, the starting pay is according to the grading of your degree. For Non-uniform services generally its
1st class - 3k -3.2k
2nd upper/pass degree with distinction - 2.8k - 3k
2nd lower/pass degree with merit - 2.7k -2.9k
3rd class/pass degree - 2.5k - 2.8k
And if you wanna go MAS the lowest grade that you need to attain is 2nd class uppers.... since you mentioned you majored in Econs I guess thats where you'll most likely wanna go.
If you want higher paying jobs regardless of discipline, you can consider uniform services, they pay really well for the start and its really stable.
1st class honors = ~3.8k
2nd class upper =~3.6k
For private sector.... it depends on a lot of aspects not only your grades.... some companies take into contribution of your non academic performance (pass working experience, extra certifications, cca etc). And the starting pay varies across the sectors.

Your degree is just a piece of paper. It's more than just the degree that'll get you your job.
Then again, lots of my friends who've graduated aren't in jobs in which they majored. Some FASS friends are in banking industry... some SoC friends have ended up doing HR in a few years... =)
Would you rather be in a highly-paid job that's a complete skill fit with your degree but you'd be so stressed up ? OR would you get mediocre pay but be in a job which you enjoy and have the motivation to excel?
Ask yourself, why did you end up taking the degree in the first place? Even I am asking myself this question now.. I realise I took it to make my parents happy.. In their view, if you have degree means you WILL get a job. A good job with good pay. But now, everybody has a degree... it doesn't mean you WILL get a job of your choice, it doesn't mean you'll get a good pay. -shrugs-
In any case, why worry? Aren't you only in your early years in NUS? Relax lah.. enjoy your uni life while you can... worry only in your final year. =D
and.... these are just my personal opinions !!!
