Hi People

Anybody been to Turi Beach Resort in Batam before?
Tot of going there end of this mth, where to book the tickets and also is there any shopping to do there?

I have been there once during Oct in 2006 (haze period).

I was in one of those huts that has a clear view of the sea. Think they upgraded me cos I told them it was my birthday! =D
Love the privacy of the place! Loads of ang moh families when I was there. The pool is not to be missed.. Breakfast is not bad too. I even ordered Room Service, prices slightly or on par with Singapore.

Shopping, I went to the city by cab. Hire by 3 hours slots I think, can't really remember.
The (only) shopping centre is not too lousy. It was there that I first discovered J.Co donuts!

Booked the accommodation via their website.
Think they have packages that incls the ferry tickets as well.
Also, if I'm not wrong weekdays are much cheaper!

Think you'll enjoy the stay there! Especially if you're going with someone special, cos it really quite romantic there.. =)

Hi I think the other time when I stayed in Batam View, Turi Beach was undergoing a renovation so now should be done and should be in a good condition.

I think there not much to shop le and very far away from the shopping centre...need to hire car...

Ferry from Tanah Merah Ferry Terminal.
I booked the ferry tickets online.

Did not try the spa/massage there though..

Heard from feedbacks that Turi Beach is very far away from shopping area, thus eventually i've decided to book Harris Resort!

Eh but I think that it is the same le all also quite far from the shopping centres le....

Dun think there is anything near Harris either. But i really enjoyed my stay at Harris.

Read some online review on Turi, pple either really love it or really hate it. this is true of most things anyway.

Just remember to bring along mosquito repellent
