Regarding taxis, would like to share a true story with you all, especially those travelling with bf/gf.
I have a friend who's cousin went on a holiday to BKK with her bf. Outside the hotel, they got into a hotel but the taxi driver asked the guy to get some sort of paper from the hotel reception. So the guy went to the hotel lobby while the girl waited in the taxi for the bf to come back. But when the bf came back, the taxi was gone and he couldn't find any trace of the gf. It's already been 10 plus years and she still hasn't returned or contacted anyone. Suspect that she has been murdered/raped or used for begging by triads or wtv.. Please be careful.

no one mentioned about Bangkok City Inn...it's near(behind) BigC...although it's a little bit rundown, but it's still 'stay-able'...
Indra Regent is ok.
Another VERY GOOD one is Grand Diamond Suites Hotel.JUST NEXT TO PLATINUM FASHION MALL AND OPPOSITE PRATUNAM...the room comes with a living room, bedroom and a KITCHEN(witout pan/utensils)...it's great..
unsure abt the prices but both are really good other than Baiyoke(in the middle of Pratunam wholesale center) and Pathumwan Princess(next to MBK).
went to Bangkok for three/four times this year le...

Check with the hotel, alternatively, make sure you go to the taxi desk at the airport.

Paisay, but for safety, you might wanna ask your mom to get into the cab first before you and your kid follow suit.

hey hey.. ask u all ar.. u go BKK u use ur own service provider for international roaming or u rather buy those top up card also can use as international roaming de.. i rmb i bought one cos i forgot to activate my starhub de.. 199baht.. lasted me 3days

i normally stay at krung kasem srikung hotel. located just opp huamlamphong metro station. Convenient to take metro. Chinatown is just stone's throw. Every night can go there. The hotel baiyoke suite how much ah? Its the tallest building in BKK. Later got nice view.

My boy and I are going to stay in this Shanghai Inn @ chinatown. Boutique hotel also.. very nice!!!

U broke my heart into zillion pieces and its impossible for anyone to fix it back...
