Genting is about 45 mins from KL by car on the Karak Expressway. That is, if you're coming from KL side la.. dunno if from other highways.. hehe..
Is this your first time going to Genting? Be prepared for cold at night, bring a cardigan or something. |

If you are taking a coach up to Genting..
Take the early ones like 7.30am where it probably wont give u any jams at all.
And when u r returning one, might face a jam.. cuz u will hit the evening by then..
see when you go in n come out lah.. preferbly weekdays if i were you.
Lesser traffic + lesser people in genting.. no need long queues at themepark.
I have been to Genting once every year for the past 7 years.
Checking in might take about an Hour...
for First World Hotel, its base on the crowd and how early u get there.. cuz it's goes by ur ticket number.
And i can say, Genting looks expensive, only if you spent ur time shopping and eating extravagantly there. But usually for a 3Day2Night, i will spend about 300-400SGD.
Which includes my lodging n transportation cost and not-so-extravagant, but still quite good food.
Theme park cost 55RM per person a day which includes the indoor and outdoor rides and the 3D motion simulator. and watching movies there cost u about 10-11rm per Movie which is like 2 times cheaper than SG la...
If you are thinking of saving abit of money there, you can consider getting the Genting Dining card.
It cost $34SGD and it contains 100RM value which can be used in several eateries/restaurants.
the card can be purchased in Singapore at most of the travel agencies like 5Star or Misa Travel.
Do do some checking / research with the various tour agencies to get worthy genting packages.
My last trip accomdation & transport only cost me $90 altogether which includes a 2nd day free breakfast. - Oleo Cookies - The One & Only Oreo

Here's my experience: Left on a Wednesday - came back on a Friday
SG-Genting Coach i took WTS travel so its about $40SGD per pax.
The journey was so so...bus was comfy.. No jams cos we went and returned by 2nd link.
Most of the days Genting is Foggy...very dangerous but i think the drivers are quite experienced.
Checking in took about one hour plus... No where to seat...seems like the whole world converged onto the one spot at the one time..lol...
First world rooms was fine..nothing to shout and scream about..i only needed the bed, door and shower cos the rest of the time i was gambling..lol
For the ride back to SG , we took the cable car down to mid point , transferred by bus to KL and went to the bus station to buy a ride back... around $20SGD only..
Overall it was super fun and cooling!..although my wallet hardly agrees... nvm! There will be another time soon! To view links or images in signatures your post count must be 10 or greater. You currently have 0 posts.
