Gift Train to KL

Anybody went to KL via train from JB? Heard that it is cheaper this way. Care to share your experience?

I took train from SG to Msia before. It was....so-so. It might be a little noisy and shaky. But definitely, the airconditioner is SUPER COLD. and the food was like h-e-l-l. But its really way cheaper than those tour buses/airplanes.

Yup. takes about 6-8 hours, due to all the stops made. Better to take a coach. The only good thing about it is that, during the journey, you can walk around. Also, if travelling at nite, you will be allocated sleeping berth.

it's definitely cheaper as compared to taking train from singapore. e.g. if u get tix in spore for S$50, u can get for just RM50 in jb.
took once b4. train was late by more than 1 hour. not sure does this happen often.
we got the sleeper bunk, ie. with ur own bed, and it was quite nice tho.
other than the occasional babies crying, the ride was ok and it was a nice experience.

But the coach price increasing soon?

Or already increase due to the oil price? =X

I take train when I was very young. No bed, just seats.

Can't remember the price.
