And went to Sim Lim Sq. to check out the price... the range is from 615 to 500... not really sure why the price is some much different...they are almost giving me the same package...US console + adaptor .... can someone introduce a shop... that i will not be con

Price and warranty.

The sets termed as "Local" are those imported by the local distributor and come with 3 months of local distributor warranty.

Those sets termed as "US" are brought in by the shops or parallel importers and carry the shop warranty.

The price difference is anywhere from $30 to $80.

Challenger is selling the Basic set with local warranty at $519. When I got mine from Funan 2 months ago, they threw in the "Endless Ocean" game.

And US set u must buy another power adaptor to use in Singapore, of course some sellers replaced it already, but need to ask first.

i currently do not operate out of a shop as i'm doing an internship at the moment but i do have a reg biz. this is my webby http://eriffej.googlepages.com.

the difference is as stated above by fly-us and co.... but at the very basic core, the US set and the local set is entirely the same. currently, if i get the US set, i put in the original adaptor from nintendo until this spare stock is totally sold out. but usually we only get local sets...

my current promotion is $538 w Wii Sport + 1 original game selected via lucky draw + 1 free light gun attachment.. our wiimote prices for new wii owners also quite enticing at $80 compared to many other shops outside. haha

actually i wrote the entire game inventory down yesterday at home but have yet to update it into the game list on my webby, but i remember i have 39 titles.. sorry i wasn't able to update cos of my family matter.

if you have other questions, eg on upgrades, tips on what to check when buying and etc, do let me know. after all, asking is free. =)
