Post Do you think is the right choice for ljungberg to go west ham?

West Ham have completed the signing of Arsenal midfielder Freddie Ljungberg in a deal that could reach £3m. The Sweden international, 30, had been the Gunners' longest serving player after costing Arsene Wenger's side £3million in 1998 from Halmstads

Do you all think arsenal is still mighty? difficult to beat?
I don think so.

Wow!!!We got a gal who catches all the actions man. Anyway just posted in another thread about this. Arsenal is still quite strong in their 1st 11 team. But the depth of the rest is not really there. They might be like the basketball team Chicago (If you watch basketball too) where jordon, pippen and denis rodman suddenly left the team. They became too weak to even challenge for the top. But sooner or later they will get used to it.

Wenger knows when is e right time for his players to go when they can't offer much to the team. Overmars, Petit, Anelka, Pires and many others left after a very successful spell at the club but after the move they aren't performin as gd as their time under Arsene.

Well although Ljunberg is old, but he does have plenty of experience to offer and can aptly cover for west ham's midfield.
Its a good deal for both West Ham and Ljunberg in my opinion.

i personally think that Ljungberg should have stayed at least another season at ashburton grove. Since wenger got a really young and not-so experience squad, ljungberg are one of the few experienced ones left..but hey football is like that and wenger is the manager..he knows what he's doing..

When Arsene Wenger brought players like Ljungberg, Anelka, Viera, Thierry, Petit, Cese, Van Persie. They are either just another player in their respective national teams or has not even been selected.

Under Arsene's guidance, they have become World Class players.

Those that were sold by him somehow were never able to preproduce their forms at Highbury or The Emirates Stadium.

If you have noticed, neither Thierry or Ljungberg produced their best form last seasons.

I am sure Arsene Wenger knows what he is doing by selling them as he is convinced that they are already over their hills.

Our current squad has some of the best youngsters in the World.

I think that West Ham would benefit from Ljungberg's experience. I am not an Arsenal fan, but I do believe that Ljungberg should have stayed for one final season at Ashburton Grove before moving, cos he can provide some rationality and some calming power over the younger players, whom might be too exuberant.

Likewise, for Chelsea, them obtaining Claudio Pizzaro is a very good deal, as veterans like Ljungberg and Pizzaro would strengthen the department where they are put, as well as impart their experience to the younger players.

Ljungberg may not have regular playing time at arsenal, thus moving to west ham was right for him.

Anyway arsenal has slim chances of landing the title, leaving and staying makes no differences in terms of silverware.
