There was once I left an hour early, but i ended up being half an hour late for work... After watching 3 packed buses drive by without stopping and also made to watch the sunrise from my place bus-stop... When I wrote to SBS, I got a stupid standard-issue excuse that traffic conditions are to blame...
If 2 or 3 buses come at one time after 45 mins, I believe... One bus every half an hour and packed, I find it hard to believe... |

1. How tall are you? for me (i'm 1.64m), in a normal seat, theres still leg room. unless you're 1.85m and above..
2. eh, which part you mean?
3. if SBS, they have at least 25-30 buses per service. for SMRT, its lesser (as they're smaller)... To view links or images in signatures your post count must be 10 or greater. Mercedes Benz O405 (the 1986 oldies which are still working on SBS..) or Mercedes Benz O405G (the SMRT Pininfania Bodied Bendies), both i have taken before.
no no. my house that area only have the wheelchair bus (the double deck), and the whole of service 60's fleet is made up of MB O405, so i've sat on them since... long long time ago..
to me, its spacious (for the old one), just that the rear radiator suck.
engine heat can be felt even inside the bus.
alot of people will say its the gear's fault.
if they gear's fault, the bus cant move le lor.
its the engine belt actually. it wears and tears after a trillion++ rpms a day..
and 30 buses to 1 service, aint kidding. thats SBST.
but remember, out of the 30 buses, some do breakdown.. :notimpressed2: To view links or images in signatures your post count must be 10 or greater. You currently have 0 posts. Direct Polytechnic Admission'08: Republic Polytechnic - Sports & Exercise Science! Singapore Red Cross Society

You may know the models and technical specs, but do you actually know their system well? I've noted down the buses and drivers for the Service 3 (the only service that runs by my place)... Only about 10 buses and drivers plying that route, 5 in the morning, 5 at night... | Quote: | | | Originally Posted by wcong | | | | | | LOLS!

(: | | | | | Again, I'm using the bus service 3 that plies from Punggol to Tampines as an example... Every morning I've to watch a sunrise from the bus stop, because the buses are just too packed to stop, and I'm always late because it take 30 - 45 mins for one bus to arrive.
Not to mention I always have to wait for 3 buses to zoom past before finally being able to squeeze onto the 4th bus... Do the math...
