SBS buses. They are good. Come to Malaysia and you will understand why I say SBS buses are good.

2 reasons.
AC Faulty. (there are cases where the AC is so cold, a while later, the AC stopped working completely..)
Thermoset faulty. (can be quite common on some older gen buses..)

We called it bunching up, SBST and SMRT called it S-Shift or T-Shift.
which means, during certain period of time, (eg lunch, peak hrs.) where more bus is needed, it will be deployed 3-5mins after the first bus (which follows the original frequency).

you can see this in Geylang more often, can see a few (3-4 service 80 double deckers) parking on various places at Geylang waiting for their shift to start (ard 3pm-5+pm).

if you've noticed, they have a piece of paper, where they place it at the dash or somewhere at the cabin, it has the timings on it.

its called the timesheet..its something like this (not the pic, but whats written on it)

I believe buses got speed limits like vans or trucks. Kinda safe to ride a bus anytime in singapore. Anyway it has been a long time since I got onto a bus or a MRT. But do trust me. The bus in malaysia is alot more dangerous to ride in than in singapore. They were speeding like 80-90km/hr.
