[04/02/2007] Teenager robbed of mobile phone and punched by robber
SINGAPORE: A teenager not only lost her $200 mobile phone to a robber but she was also punched by him when she put up a struggle.
The girl was using her mobile phone while walking back to her home in Bedok North at about 10.45pm on Friday when a dark complexioned man, wearing a tight grey-coloured T-shirt and blue jeans, came from behind and grabbed her phone.
The girl put up a fight but was punched in the face. The robber then tried to flee on a bicycle.
A passer-by heard the girl's cries for help and tried to stop the robber.
But the robber threw his bike at the good Samaritan and then ran off.
The man gave chase but lost sight of the robber at Block 88, Bedok North Avenue 4.
The girl suffered a cut on her lower lip and bruises on her arm.
The suspect is said to be about 1.7-metre tall and has short hair. |

People can do anything to get money. I heard them saying now even if you're carrying handphone on hand it might not be safe. People can just gang up and walk near you, grab and run. -.-"
It's advisable that when take out e hp, put at different location so as people who are preying on your phone won't really get the right one. =)
