-Y-, I think it's better to use this point as a README: The spree-organizer is not responsible for the state of delivery or loss of items during shipping, so join at your own risk!

My friend organized a rather large spree... in the end packages lost... She had to compensate over $1000+ to the spree participants! It's not even her fault... :speechless:

I just think it's unreasonable to have the spree organizer pay for lost or damaged goods. A spree organizer is already going out of the way to act as a middle-man to help other people to save on shipping and get overseas stuff, so it's quite unfair.

I dunno what others think of this, so I require your (and other people's) opinions.

Any purchases online always come with some risk. Aren't the packages trackable? Spree organizers can add their own rules for the sprees if they want.

yes, all packages are trackable~ seller will normally give us the registered article number and able to trace it when it reaches SG.

So meaning that we can open a spree anytime?

And who will be the spree organisers?

Can we have a test response thread for a particular webby we are interested in and from there we will accumulate the interest.

Once, we have gathered enough interest or the particular number of amount to hit target, organisers can open a spree for it by posting in the test response indicating that the spree is open.

Meanwhile, we still need ur help to close or remove the thread cos it will not make anymore sense to collate the interest again once the spree is open.

I will think of other suggestions to implement the spree section.

-Y-, I think packages probably not sent out at all, for that incident. It stretched for nearly a year, lol. They kept postponing shipment also.

I have another idea lah (not that original, other places also have), set up a ratings system for successful organized sprees? Then happy spree-ers can add reputation to the organizer.
