I've been going to TW almost every year since 97 cos my wife have friends and relatives there. In general, the food is good and affordable there. In terms of fashion, u can find a lot of clothings esp. cheap stuff from 五分埔。In term of food, u can visit 士林夜市 and many places.
I had my new year there these February and it was so much fun and noisy with fire crackers everywhere. I'll be going to Taipei and KaoHsiung next mth again.:biggrin4: | |

yeah the food in taiwan really rocks!!
and super convenient in terms of finding food also... almost everywhere got sell food one  so high competition for the food industry... thats why the food so nice lol...
like every street and alley also got sell food one... oh and the 7 eleven open untill everywhere also got... sometimes can see opposite each other also...
oh ya the girls there  nice haha... | |

in taiwan you can buy their MTR card and travel on buses and MTR etc
and you can get to almost any where in taipei

i miss the roadside muar chee.. not those packed one.. it is like our local muar chee but the shape is round and fill with peanut or red beans.. i found one near huaxi street during the day.. one old aunty selling.. forget the price.. but i am very sure it is very nice!!!
girls cant miss out wu fen pu!!
i like yeliu too.. cos of the unique formation of rocks... i like the fairy shoe and the chicken wing hehehe.. | |

五分埔 is good place to shop. Much bigger than bugis. There is a lot of Night market, can try all if can. Like Huaxi, Shilin etc.. Can ask the people around. Most taiwanese are friendly =) | |

If you're going to Taipei for shopping, yes you've made a wise choice. They have lots of very nice clothing. But if you're those kind who likes to party, you might be disappointed. The entrance fee there is quite pricey. I remember the entrance fee I paid once was like $40sgd. But of course, that place was flooded with pretty faces.
