i was wondering hor..
how many of us really do observe our table manners? like even when u eat at coffee shops or hawker cantres???
how much do u know bout table manners???

what about other countries table manners??? :handsup:

Depend on the situation bah, normal coffeeshop will be as for normal, maybe going for high class restra i will tend to be observe at least basic table manner

as in like..both are tgt pointing twds u..indicating that u're done eatin..

putting cutlery at 6.30 direction means u have finished your meal? wow...learnt something new...

..personally, i like the japanese style of table manners..yi ta da ki ma su~! quite polite..:rock:

you mean for japanese, its a must to slurp up noodles to show its delicious? lol...gd wat..:biggrin4: can build up the appetite in yourself..

The correct way is Place the knife and fork parallel to one another across the plate with the knife blade facing inward toward the plate. Position the knife and fork in the position of ten o’clock to four o’clock :mellow3:

if go those wedding or special occasion i would observe it....

if go hawker centre those type of places... would nt really care abt it but still will not lyk eating n toking very loudly...

there are still plenty of stuff like which spoon to use for wat and bla bla bla.. didnt rly observe though.. juz eat like normal 0.0?? and i think L copy me.. the way he sit.. is hw i usually sit.. wif alot of other variations as well =.=

Just be yourself lor when you eat, no point hiding what your personality, but of course dont go eating with one leg up at some restaurant, any restaurant. It looks ugly then if its a guy if nv use underwear can @@ hahahhaah. Just basic table manners i suppose is fine, dont slurp ur soup, talk while u eat then food fly everywhere. etc etc etc

dun reali care much when eating in hawkers bcos my table manner nt tat bad...hahaha but in formal places might be more gentle lor

Noticed some common mistake when using chopstick...

1. Clearing the food on the chopstick by licking it before go for other food.

2. Holding the chopstick while talking.
