I guess many people are stucked on their own busy schedules and totally have no time to exercise, maybe eating right plus be more active would work. I have seen some videos that take only 15 minutes a day and they require no equipments, maybe someday i would post them up here ^_^

OMG.. thanks for all the sharing. 2 main things I learn.. Healthy meal and exercising.. But for lazy ppl like me.. exercising is really a chore to me..

Qn: I live on the 15th floor. How effective it is to climb up 15 flights of stairs.. Maybe like once a week? Does it help?

People who thinks slimming pills and osim watever zap zap works . Then the sad thing is , you all are CONNED . Period.

Thinking that those are the easy way out ? Come on , you need to work for u it . diet and exercise.

For people who are too busy of too lazy to exercise... Hmm Oprah Winfrey once adopted a diet programme which requires no exercise...

Basically it's called a "dinner before 5" programme.. You just consume your dinner before 5 everyday.. low carbohydrates and low fat of course.. And no snacking 3 hours before bedtime...

You will probably take some time to get use to it..

no snacking! i used to try to eat less for lunch n meals, but in between get very hungry so snack...n end up gaining weight...so thing is dun skip meals, n eat enuf for lunch esp, dinner can eat less, den can lose weight/ at least maintain...n of cuz muz exercise...run 2.4km at least once a week...climb stairs back home...walk whenever u can instead of taking bus, n swim...realli help lose alot of weight...but i more lazy go swim cuz very ma fan.

If you can see, the face shape slim down a little.
But really, the weight change is as good as nil, in-fact increased.
kk, muscle gain la huh, console myself.

Anyway,
really for the girls dieting to the extreme is a really silly thing, cos can u maintain it forever?
The key is MAINTAINCE.

For the record, in 1mth i lost 20kgs, its not diff really.
that was a period when I was working in NTUC as a cashier. I was on feet alot. (yes, standing is more effective than sitting) maybe bcos of the situaion, I always ended up eating Bee Hoon Soup at night, but i went to sleep soon after (which is a disaster).

Girl's fatty area= Thighs, and arms, and some cases Tummy. (different bodies work different find out yours)
Boys= Tummy! without a shadow of doubt.

for girls: Things you can do when you are watching TV:
muscle turned fats on their arms, massage it, it will go away if u have determination.
if you are above 25, its time to do leg lift, skin sag, so need to do extra exercise to maintain the thigh muscle or else, that very strip of fries is going to end up there.

*tips tips*

Avoid gassy drinks or sugared drinks for the manner, (as applied by China's country wide weight reduce program for obese youth)
our normal food intake (including rice and what not) has glucose on its on. a glass of sugared drinks is actually more than enough for our body intake) So unprocessed sugar becomes fats.


Go for water, mineral water that is. But of-course not too much in the evening. Water retention as mention by Ms Porcelain. From eyebags to pelvis area... Step into Cold Storage or any supermarket, u can get it at what $0.45? Yes water retention, but should never avoid totally ya? Bcos water intake on a boring lecture session gives ur brain a boost too.

Drink fruit juice (Peel Fresh at $0.80) instead of sugared water if u had enough of drinking those tasteless mineral water.

Must eat Breakfast!
1. You wont feel so hungry, then end up BIG lunch.
2. Increase Metabolism rate if u have breakfast within 2 hrs u wake up.
3. Keeps u awake and alert (tts y some schools have breakfast program) and especially if u take juice in the morning. OooOoo you can be running on heels the whole day baby~. The natural ingredients gives ur brains a morning boost.

Avoid Carbo 3-4hrs b4 sleep. (esp those that wants to build 6 pack/abs muscle)
its very general actually. Carbo gives energy, energy not use, what do they become? the F word (suddenly sounded so vulgar )
Feel free to eat Carbo in the early afternoons, bcos ur body have time to process n digest it through the day.

For office workers, those that sits in-front of Monitor. If possible, go light on carbo. bcos it accumulates on the tummy area for man, and for ladies it be at the pelvis area. bcos effectively only the fingers are moving, or perhaps the upper body (for those with many work desk)
Afternoon snack to keep awake? Whats better than fruits? or perhaps Iranian Figs? Naturally sweet

Do crunches before u sleep (maintain and gives the abs muscle a good stretch) Sit ups if done wrongly hurts the body. the main thing for sit up is use abs muscle, some people use neck, etc etc. that is on bed. the best place to do. why? cos theres good cusionning. Tone it up a little *PuWEE*

Eat Fruits!
Not only does it builds up ur immunity system, its good to help detox too. (vitamins encourages the building of healthy cells, white blood cells for the matter, so the body will be better able to fight n prevent virus invasion)
Do you know the status of your large intestine is reflected on your face, Face and skin condition. *but not so applicable for those with acne problem*
The more it stinks the darker the color is in ur waste, in the washroom, the more ur intestine is calling for help.
Fruits!
before meal - provides for vitamin absorption, bcos after carbo absorption, the vitamin absorption effects is lessen.
after meal - the fiber helps to clear out the intestine.

While washing face, give your neck a good scrub too, or perhaps massage, bcos the neck has as much exposure as the face, u can a pretty looking face with a neck that has extra layers... Just give it a good big pinch. *thumbs up*

Exercise is important... *im too lazy for tt myself*
Jogging is good, cos it moves the whole body, for the ladies, make sure u are on appropriate sports bra. the last thing u need is pre-mature sagging.
For the man, its nice to see a healthy good looking man exercising. whether is it basketball or jogging.
thats y they came up with the phrase Sunshine Boy ya?

Having said all these, know that wat goes in have to come out, be it by waste, or energy output.
Dont leave too much to be stored away.
It takes the body 2 to 5 hrs to digest.

hmm. lost more than 20kg 4 years back. but seems to reach a stage that weight abit hard to get rid. -_-"'
eat lesser and less fried stuffs. cut off soft drinks and sweet drinks.

Wow seem like this is a hot thread to me. So now is my turn to share my personnel experience.

After taking Nutrimeal, I finally own back myself from 86 kg before to 70 kg now. Now I can throw away my 36" baggy jeans to a slim fit 32" jeans. I think that is every pot belly like me use to be would like to achieve, to wear the desire clothes they want.

i've lost 15kg in a year... and no rebound so far coz its due to work and stress. and i control my diet. lean meat, no soft drinks, lotsa plain water. and of course, try not to eat too much b4 sleeping. but, sometimes, snack a bit to reward yourself lah! but not too much though!

pills simply wont work. and it is more harm than good coz it deprives you from getting the necessary carbo and stuff. and there IS rebound of weight, u will gain more weight than what you lost when you stop taking the pills.

for TMC, if u are referring to Aimin, yes, it is effective. but it's quite expensive. and you must undergo the whole treatment else will still rebound. i have a friend who took accupucture for slimming... think she never complete the whole treatment, so in the end, she gain weight again. like waste money and have to endure the pain...

and if you were to lose weight too quickly, chances are you will have a lot of stretch marks.

i guess a combination of diet and exercise is important in losing weight. I've a friend who tried OSIM uZap 3 times a day and swore she lost 2 inches off her waist in 2 weeks. but then again, she watched her food intake too

btw, have you all seen how fantastic fiona looked in the new ad? She's got wings with a terrific body to boot! guess that's one girl who won't be having any weight problems ha!

I lost 17kg in 4.5mths without any exercise!! From 76.2kg to 59kg. I am 1.57m tall.
I lost 3.1kg in 1st week and total of 5kg in 2 weeks.
I ate the health supplements and follow a diet plan.

Hi everyone,

wld like to recommend bodybuilding. com, it has all the required information on dieting.

I've lost 10kgs in 1.5mths. it didnt just happen. lol.
Wht i did was simple, calculate my calorific intake everyday and weigh it against wht i really need. (normal guy/girl needs abt 2500/2000cal/day)

I left coke on the shelf for a very very long time. simply cuz the fizzy drinks adds to your daily intake of energy.

I only take small amts of carbs. Upped the amt of veg & protein. By protein i mean lots and lots of fish cuz they are leaner than meats such as pork and beef. Chicken breasts are also a good source of protein.

I also jog like everyday. Started small, like 2-3km. Nw avg running 5-6 i tink.. do note that it isnt really abt the distant you run but rather, the amt of energy you put into running. Say you do 2-3km in 1hr... i cld walk at tt rate you knw.. you shld run such that your heart rate is 65-85% your normal. tt way, you'll be burning more calories when you run.

Not forgetting a workout which is to increase your body metabolism thruout the day.

Do note that if you go low on carbs, your main energy source is limited. so you may feel a whee bit weak. but its up to you, for hw long you gonna hold it off till. its really remembering the key principles of the energy balance. dont eat wht you do not need. even tho its the nicest tasting food in the world. sorry to be posting so long a msg. hehe

haha.. i've stretch marks! now i've been taking close attention to wat i eat, i won't eat sth that is too oily, since my stomach isn't working as well as before.. haha.. =X work for ur ideal weight, everyone! =D

Try this healthy method:

Hello, don't know if anyone still reads this, but I lost about 10kg, then I put 3kg back on cus I was too skinny (x

So now i'm 48kg but 166cm. Anyway I guess eating the right food is important, I lost weight by eating foods that were low in fat. Oh ya and also, I ran alot. But be careful for females, you have to be prepared to lose your boobs la, which is really, really sad. So it depends whether you wanna keep your boobs or you wanna lose weight lo.

ermmm... the best workout for slimming is actually swimming laps (which i am not good at)
2nd is jogging (not running/not brisk walking)
they are workouts that help tone ur muscles and lose fats without gaining muscle mass
how often u do them? the more the better lor...

diet wise...
i recommend the normal 3 meals a day with 3/4 bowl of rice (that is like the amt of half a mug of water?)
and just sufficient meat n veggie to go with it
drink soup (not those ang moh cream type) wont affect much =)
some lite snacks like apples, pears, baby carrots (my fav) and baby cucumbers whenever mouth hunger for some bites =)

for guys who wan the extra chests and abs... i was recommended doing 4X20 sit-ups, 4X20 push-ups, 2X20 spider push-ups, 2X20 diamond push-ups per evening before dinner..
effects can be seen within 2 weeks
but i cant keep up with the tough regiment... ended up doing 3X20 sit-ups, 2X20 push-ups, 2X10 spider push-ups, 1X10 diamond push-ups every alternate evening...
saw some results and started slacking once again... LoLx...
