As above. I noticed most people rather go for own kids rather than adopting orphans. And most of the time, those that wanted to adopt kids are those who can't conceive.

So what if you already have your own children, would you still adopt one?

For me, I think I may conceive one and adopt one. So total 2 children.
Since most mothers tend to be "lazy" after taking care of the first kid. But of course they still love their children. Just that mothers are kinda tired and sian of going through the whole process of taking care of a baby again. So usually 2nd/3rd kid let grandparents tk care or sth. [This is what my colleague share with me]

well if my financial ability allows it, I would definitely adopt one so that the kid can have a complete family as well

If you're financially stable enough to have kids, why not? Saves the wife the "miracle" of birth, and gives a child a complete family. Only issues that might arise are the child having an inferiority complex because he/she was adopted, heard a lot of that happening last time, but not sure if its still common nowadays.

I hate people who talk as if they ate an entire libary of religous text, just because you belive its true doesnt mean everyone thinks the same.

hmmm... this may sound selfish, but i would say no... i believe that if u carry the child (while pregnant), ur bond with the child will be stronger... i dun think that with adopted child, the bond will be as strong

it is not just saying it, it is doing it. since ,but i realize that is not so easy. for instance many people would rather have there own biological children i.e my husband . and ophanages don't give out children to single parents especially young single parents. maybe they believe the child will be insecure

i wont do that , cause maybe u feel that u are fair when treating both your kid and the adopted one, but do they feel the same ?

i dun think so cause they say that those organisations would check on ur child frequently.. to ensure u dun torture the child and treat he or she well.. sounds very troublesome..

my grandmother was a foster mom for 70++ kids in the past, she stopped when she hit 70+ yrs old...

she appeared in the new papers, dec, 2000. (I'll get the picture as a proof.)

now, my auntie is also a foster mom... she just appeared in yesterday's new paper.

its the love of children, esp. those children who came from broken families or those children who were abandoned.

I really think that both of them are great.

I would adopt if either i have only 1 child and want a sibling for him/er or when i have a few kids of the same gender and want one of the opposite sex. Would also consider adopting if I am able to but not married. :p

I like children but if i have my own flesh and blood, i dont think i will adopt. Cos i cannot promised that i can give the same love to the adopted one when compare to my flesh and blood. I dont know... Maybe i am selfish even through ki like kids but if i have no kids, then it is another story.
