for the 150-185 avg player ,merely filling an extra frame or two per game is the easiest road to improvement

RULE NUMBER 1
is accuracy,not power is the vital ingredient when covering all spares not involving double wood

u dun need power to knock over a piece of wood that is less than 4lbs

always be square to your target,walk towards it

Question coach, usually for a spare ball, is it better to have a lighter ball (e.g.13lb if strike ball is 14lb) or both spare and strike ball the same weight?

roger.... provided left one pin lor... hahahaa.... but i think i need to practice more on 7 & 10.... not so accurate yet.

the usual practice (n i stress on the word practice so means it has got no hard and fast rules)
is that the spare ball is 1 lb lighter but than its fine if its the same same as your strike ball

the usual reason given for it is...u need to throw the spare ball straighter n faster so by using a lighter ball u are able to do it with more ease,
but i dun have problem with the same wieght cos i m using the same wight for both my strike n spare

hehehee.... same here.... almost the same weight too.... only about 2 oz difference nia.
