hey jiamin.. when u put songwriter, is there a segregation for composer only or lyrics writing only? or songwriter = both?

i write songs. at least the lyrics.

I write lots of lyrics. i even have this notebook to record them down.

i do have tunes in my head. but never bothered to write out the musical notes. too lazy. haha. very ma fan.

I don;t know. its just the feeling. and the inspiration. haha.

I'm more of an Arts person, so feel-ing just comes to me naturally. blah. its just something i write.

btu i think msot of them are rubbish la. haha.

I don't, but I'd like to say song writing is rather "personal".
Such that if you would like to make it big, submitting to a reputable record company, then I'd suggest you guys not to share it among other people. For its "copyright".

Then, of course, you can share about anything.. like where to get inspirations, how to choose the right word etc, but never, showcase everything.

Hmm, just my 2 cents.

you just write whatever you feel like.

let your feelings and the words flow out of you. if you really want to morph this piece of writing into a song's lyrics, then you slowly edit from there.

woots! wouldn't be rubbish. only those who can't appreciate then will think is rubbish. if its tune why not write down. i think wasted if never write down. cos you may never get the tune back again.

yup! very true. i dun really like to edit. cos i think first hand insipration is the best. never use your brain to think hard. it wouldn't turn out nice for me.

even if i write a songs, i also don't want stranger to know it, write a songs then sing it myself, then i go interview to try to become a singer, not to let anybody know yet
