1. i'm a bus enthusiast in Singapore. = No pay.
2. Aircon system, give me a date that you're free, i'll bring to to the SMRT & SBSTransit depot to find out the difference.
i) SBSTransit A/C: Thermosets are set at 25deg, they can only increase & decrease the fan speed.
ii) SMRT A/C: Temperature are set by the service captains. and it should not be higher then 25deg.
*in cases which Aircon fails, bus captain/ service captains are allowed to call in a breakdown. but if majority of passenger wanna continue the journey, they will continue to the end of route. And only alighting only (off service).
3. Timing.
i) SBSTransit has GPS on its bus that it tracks it every single movement in Singapore, thus frequency arent as bad as SMRT (unless like places such as Little India, Orchard, Bukit Timah, Geylang, Eunos and etc..) if too early/late: an irritating beep sound will be given when approaching bus stop..
ii) SMRT Bus are often too early to arrive at the bus stop. (thus, some SMRT buses drag when they're approaching interchange as too early = cut pay.
if you think is incorrect.
go down to JURONG EAST / HOUGANG INT and takedown registration nos. of service 147.
dont be surprised if it has more than 30buses just on that service.
compare that to SMRT buses.
go try and find out the difference
i've taken all the buses (every SINGLE ONE OF THEM WHICH ARE ON REVENUE SERVICE) in Singapore last DEC, so i know which buses have problems, which one doesnt.
for taxi part, you'll have my apologies for any incorrect info.
for buses, i'll shall have my stand. dont believe, go find out yourself.
compare a company that has
772 Buses (inclusive 6 training buses) - SMRT Buses
&
2531 Buses (inclusive 22 training buses) - SBSTransit Buses
