I think hor. instead of giving places in uni to foreigner... why dont the gov give place to me the local student from poly???? an average student like me can hardly make it into uni i heard the population in uni for poly student is soooooo low. n what else. we have to go overseas n study !!! it's not like there is not enough vancancies. but the vacancines are given to them liao.. haiyooo.. life is chin kam kor =X

I don't really care about "foreigner" or " local ". All I can about is something called merit.The govt accomodates foreign students here in the hope they will become foreign talent.Let's face it.Our wages are not competitive compared to our neighbours and they can provide the same quality work at a lower rate.Our labour pool is small and our birthrate is low as well.What other options do we have?

IMO I always prefered more competition which means more challenges.If everyone can get into U wheres the challenge?What I DON'T like is when foreign students get RESERVED places.

yea, the govt is creating a fourth uni rmb? but isn't it too late? din we learn in social studies during sec 4 that after the 1988 dragon batch, there was a sharp decline in birth rate for the subsequent years till now?

this gd news isnt too late for me =P but i hope more opportunities are given to poly student. Cos the jc students alrdy manage to secure most places in uni. but this also doesnt mean that any ahmao ahgao from poly can go local uni la.
