A beaming Sir Alex Ferguson leaving the post-match media conference during which, he says he will manage England after securing the EPL title.


After the fantastic come-from-behind 4-1 victory over Blackburn, a beaming Sir Alex Ferguson was queried on whether the English Football Association had approached him on the England manager's job. At first, he was reluctant to comment on this issue but towards the end of the post-match media conference, he let his guard down.

He said " Sure, I have been asked for my interest in the job but I will only take up the appointment after the EPL title is won. Right now, my priority is to win the EPL title and other trophies so that I can retire in a good way. I need fresh challenges and the England job will just suits me fine."

I don't think he should take up the England manager job... If he leave Man Utd, then Man Utd won't be that strong anymore liao... Haix... Hope he consider well b4 he take England Manager job...

I don't think he will de... Man Utd is his life n Alex Ferguson is Man Utd's life too... They need one another... Maybe one day he might leave but he won't leave so soon... cos he knows that Man Utd needs him and he needs Man Utd too... Haha!

i wouldnt be surprised if that happens. Sir Alex have done wonders at old trafford. No matter what his decisions are i will respect it. He is one of a kind. If he decides to go then so be it. Man Utd does need a change of game once in awhile. Its been more than a decade under Sir Alex. heh
