I'm afraid it's a "Yes".

All the time when I helped ang mohs with road directions, open door when I'm exiting, pick up things for them...etc, I will 100% get a grateful and sincere "Thank-you" and/or a smile.

When I helped singaporeans, I can nothing in return and it's as if I owe them the help.

Conclusion: It's not worth being kind to singaporeans. PERIOD.

i do agree that alot of s'poreans doesnt know how to spell S-M-I-L-E

but when i give up my seats to some elderly ppl, or probably help some youngster they will say thanks most of the time


some of the ppl i wun help are the grumpy uncles and aunties, they think the world owe them a living

come to think of it, our courtesy are beginning to disappear gradually...when is the last time someone asked u if ur seats are empty? now whenever i sit at a seat at a coffeeshop or hawker center, ppl would juz lay their butts on the seats whithout even asking me if the seats are taken....

Im doing the opposite to wad my heart tells me to do.

i once gave up my seat (mrt train) to a pregnant lady, and when i signal her asking if she would like to sit, she replied, "if you want to let me sit i sit lor!".... kaox... at that moment, i felt so much like sitting down back on the seat and let her stand.... hao xin mei hao bao... this kinda pple need to be slapped and boxed upside down....

i need to explain that the reason i signaled her is becoz some "needy" people may refused your kindness of letting out the seat (maybe becoz their destination is only one or two stops), and the scene may appear awkward. so if they refused the seat, at least i can continue sitting... dats why...

conclusion: yes, singaporeans are NOT worthy of kindness..... hmph!
