Singaporean man murdered in JB by masked attackers

JOHOR BAHRU: A Singaporean man was slashed to death in Johor Bahru early Wednesday morning.
33-year-old Teo Wan Kah sustained deep slash wounds on his shoulders and head, when he was attacked by two masked attackers at a carpark outside his flat.
Johor Bahru police said the businessman was followed home.
Teo, who owned car-parts shops in Johor and Singapore, was pronounced dead shortly after the attack.
Singapore's Ministry of Foreign Affairs says it has not been informed of the murder and is checking with the Malaysian authorities about the incident. It is not the place, nor the condition, but the mind alone that can make anyone happy or miserable.

At a news conference on Thursday morning in Johor Bahru, Johor police said that Teo, who was attacked outside his flat in Permas Jaya by two masked men early Wednesday morning, was a suspect in a murder case involving three other men in Singapore three years ago.
The men and Teo then fled across the Causeway and had been staying in Johor Bahru illegally for at least two years.
He was using different names and did not have a permanent address.
Johor police also said that he has been living with his girlfriend in Permas Jaya all this time.
No suspect has been arrested yet for Teo's murder.
When contacted, Singapore police said they believe Teo might have been able to assist in an investigation for a murder reported in 2003.
They will be releasing more details of this case later. - CNA/ms | | | | |
