i was chatting with new2bowling just now and he actually gave me some very good ideas

1....send a team for league bowling
i understand that there are a number of bowlers here in sgc who is keen in joining the team for league rather than training cos of the fact that they have work commitment and cant make it to the training that is currently scheduled on sat afternoon
so anybody who is able to help in finding a league where we can bowl with and the standard of the league is not so high maybe can bring it up here so that we can send a team over afterall bowling in league is also another form of training

i think its a good idea cos this is the place that we met and know each other and also a form of pride and recognition as well
if this goes tru,i would like to have suggestions on wat sort of colour to make,wat sort of design

3....training issues
currently totalnv is in charge of organising the sat lessons and superfurypearl is in charge of the week night lessons (tentatively set on monday nights)

but i think seldom we will be able to get pple from the 2 lessons to join in if not we will be ok with 1 lesson already right?

but than if any of the group gets to an extend where its too big for mi to handle,you guys will hafta split up again cos this is not a bowling intro class where i can teach 30newbies how to bowl at one time and i will need to spend more time on each individual

and on and off we will meet up for ad hoc bowling sessions(where its solely for bowling not coaching),and i hope for the ad hoc bowling sessions that we are having pple from both training sessions can meet up so that we know one another better if we need to progress as a team,dont tell me league team i also must send in 2 teams (wich i will only do so if we have enough bowlers for 2 teams)

can i make a suggestion to totalnv and superfurypearl respectively to set up a topic individually with the topic header as "sat bowling clinic" and "monday bowling clinic" to facilitate easy updating and easy reference for anybody who wanna get info on how to go about in joining the training on both days and such?

at the end of the day,its still commitment tat i want from you guys wich so far i am quite happy with it and i am confident that this thing will go far because each session i am seeing new faces popping up......

1. i thought someone mentioned that planet bowl will be starting a league soon? perhaps we can enquire further. however, i have doubts that we can garner at least 8 bowlers to register. it's definitely a good idea to gain exposure in a competitive ground, but i thought it will be good to first get people in.

2. nice to have as a team. can double up as a league tee too. personally, i would like to see the tee in dark colors. alright to have shades of light/pastel colors.... my feel only - not so easy get dirty mah... hehehe...

SGC? or any other idea?
I can help in printing of tee cause i did it for my own team.
Also, if there's we are indeed going into a league, I would love to join less it's monday.

i will ask the centre tomorrow, and keep everyone informed.

we would want to have an identity belonging exclusively to sgc, so, yes, i think it's best to call the team SGC Bowling Team or something along the line. perhaps even have "www.sgclub.com" printed on the tee. hehehe.... promote the website mah, and so can get more pple to come in here and participate in the forum.

as for the design, i dunno.... but i personally like plain and simple, but making use of the text colors to differentiate ourselves. hahaha...

maybe can ask kungfox to sponsor the tee, and in return, promote the forum! hahahahaa....

erm..... no brand one... hahaha... i think this type of polo tees quite common mah.... all we need to do is to then decide what goes on the tee.... for example, a small team name at the left-chest, then the bigger version right at the back, then your name on the back-righthand shoulder, and perhaps the www.sgclub.com (if you want) on the bottom sleeve. something like dat lor.

ya i mention that a league is starting at planet bowl but i not sure whether public is allow to join the league or it is just for civil service member. And for the weekday training, i was thinking on either monday or thursday. cos coach couldnt make it on tuesday n on friday i dun think anyone wan to train cos the next day also got training.
