Primary School
I had to study Bahasa Melayu (Malay) and Mandarin (Chinese) together with Arithmetics (Maths), English and Science. I picked up BM fast as the language uses the same alphabets as English. I hated Mandarin as no one in my family conversed or use that language. Teachers could whack students with a long ruler anytime anyone of us talked during lessons, forgot our text books or did not do our homework assignments. Teachers called parents to school for every misdemeanour committed by students so literally everyday, there are parents visiting the school. Everyone knew my parents.:handsup:

Secondary School
Lesser whackings but my parents still got called to school. :devil2: I developed a habit of studying last minute for my exams. The rest of the time I read a lot - my mum is illiterate so she didn't know I was reading story books. I covered all my text books AND story books with brown wrapping paper so ..... :biggrin4: I joined the drama group, cultural dance group and athletics. All these activities gave me lots of excuses to stay back after school and syum my mum's naggings.
As I was from an all-girls' school, I had an excruciating time when in the company of boys. I blushed like nobody's business when I had to take part in inter-school sports meets where there were b-o-y-s!!! I died many times.

When I was in Sec 4, I got interested in singing and joined all kinds of kuching kurak (amateur lah) talentine contests. I even joined a local band as their lead singer! I hung out a lot with these guys who were from my neighborhood and my mother was soooo terrified I would end up as a nightclub singer!

College
In my days it was called Pre U, 'U' as in University. I didn't get to go even though my 'O' levels grades qualified me for Pre U studies. :cry3: As the eldest daughter, my mother said I had to work to help out with the family's finances. I think she wanted me to get to know working guys and stopped hanging out with bandboys.

my one arh.. is everyday slack slack slack.. only study juz B4 de exam.... go CCA oso slack, de best part of de day in sch is recess and goin hm aft sch....

i think my sch life is wonderful=D

During my primary school days, I was pretty naughty already. I remembered I was in Pei Ying Primary School from primary 1 to primary 4. There is this teacher called Mr Lee, taught me Chinese from primary 1 to primary 4. Whenever there is a spelling test, before that, you have to go up to the black board (using white chalk), to test if you really studied. And as a person who is bad in language and never study, I always get cane on my hand with a long ruler by the teacher.

There is this period when I was extreme naughty where whenever I throw my temper, I will kick down the table and throw everything on the ground. In the end, my parents was called down and got canning back home. LOL!

Another thing is that, I think I was in Primary 3. There was a trend for 'Power Ranger'. And 4 or 5 of my friends and I form a team. I remember I was 'White Ranger'. LOL! And we went around bullying others.

I was real small size from young to now. But strangly, it always I the one bullying others, not the other way. And someone will be protecting me. haha..

Was well-liked by my form teachers. Not exactly teacher's pet but they often praise me in front of the whole class. Once, when my form teacher told the whole class jokingly that she will only choose the best students to her class next year and one classmate exclaimed: "she surely choose Maggie one lor.." lol

I had the best time of my primary school when i was ten. Had great friends - a pair of twins (super cool right!) & this best friend who was my 'sister'. Hung out with them alot after school to play, walk around school, sneaked out to neighbourhood shopping malls (tiong bahru plaza), play at twins' condo etc etc

and our mandarin teacher, a funny old man, 'ren(4)' us as his daughters because he got 3 sons at home and he wanted a daughter badly. of course he chose only those he likes la. he was really biased towards girls in a funny way. when girls nv do hwrk, its okay...maybe just nag. but boys, will get a serious beating. poor things.

studying is our full time job and playing is what we do.
school is a boring place to hang out but friends make a big difference. i would say, i enjoy schooling with friends as we did many radical yet memorable things together.

studying is my part time job. LOL. i slp in class. i can say, all classes. even EOY exams. -_- i argue with tchers when they talk unreasonable stuffs..i go against school rules (;
