Hello Girl,

Its been three years since I've ended my seven year chase with you, how have you been?

You've caught my eye on '99 and graduation on 2000 seemed bitter, but at least it was still 100% cocoa so its still not bad. Those two years are quite intense yes? I still remember then, the clumsy me stammering before you while I smoothed over everybody else in school. A great contrast then, with them and with you. I wonder what were your thoughts when I accepted the preposition from that girl, when she was 13 and I am 16. Have you felt wierd about that? Me looking at you always, even with her by my side, I can see it in your eyes, and how your eyes always seem to be looking elsewhere, but your feet are pointing towards me. But that was so long ago, you were always so indecisive and I was the unstoppable force constantly moving forward. So too bad, both our first relationship wasn't with each other. I remember you came looking for me and started crying after that English Oral practise run, I didn't know what to do besides giving you a hug, which would surely get me into trouble with the teachers. I guess I'm glad she was around to get you calmed down. But hey, those were fun times. At the least you got enough courage to talk to me regarding school work for a length of time.

For the next five years, keeping in contact with you was harder isn't it? You were busy in your school while I am in mine. Did you know that I had missed and rejected plenty of opportunities just for your sake? It is amusing to think back how like you, I rejected interested parties, and perhaps you have another person in mind as you half-heartedly rejected me. But we still managed to meet up that once, and took two photo-cards together. I still have them with me, on my table, and I look at it time to time to remind myself of something to some purpose I had forgotten to remember. I do remember too that you had never dated while in your school. I guess its my turn to feel wierd. What was holding you back? I know your school back then had better elements than mine, and surely you wouldn't be led astray. Were you waiting for me too? Just as I was chasing you? I do hope at the least you were appreciative of the GP advice I had given you back then when you had some trouble with it. Maybe it was the other way round, since I took 2 years longer than you for that A levels cert. But it was still good times.

Remember 2005? Christmas eve, when we met again, the three of us. I decided that I would never want you to come between my friendship and I was frankly ready to move on after that 7 years. I guess you were pretty calm about it too. Perhaps you wanted to see some signs that I refused to show you, either consciously or not. Oh yes the questions were pretty hypothetical and loaded, but you know as well as I do that I wouldn't ask those questions if I really wanted some form of closure. I remember trying to act emo and hurt after closing that chapter with you, but hey, I guess I'm made of tougher stuff than that. Thanks for letting me know that I'm made of sterner stuff than the crap quality teenagers we've had now.

Seriously have you ever dated anyone else other than myself? Its been a long time you know, surely you must have had some. You are pretty, sweet and gentle-natured, somebody would have noticed you. Now now don't give me the crap about not having an awesome figure. I've noticed you and the whole petite look never goes out of fashion. Who gives a damn about cup sizes anymore? At least you know I will always have my eye on your pair of apples.

Oh yes I had a relationship during my national service days. It was really fun, unlike the horror stories your girlfriends no doubt love to share like a bad case of influenza. Maybe again this shows how lousy Singaporean men are, as you have said so yourself. I guess I'm bad too, just not that way, and that's comforting. She was wonderful yes. I helped her through her cancer recovery. I didn't know until she told me ! This is some experiance one does not get without undue suffering and agony, I'm glad I've got this first hand without that. Have you had any exciting experiances yet?

You know...I'm really curious. Three years after that chapter closed, how are you getting along now? Heard that you are still single, come on ! We're not getting young anymore, get out and know more people man ! I'm also looking forward to your organised class reunion gathering, which I think might never happen. But hey, I can always dream that you will organise one yes?

So why this letter? Honestly, I don't know. Maybe its so boring at work that I can come here and type this letter which you obviously are not around to read. You're not the online type I know, makes me wonder all the more how your time is spent. I hope with a man, not a boy. But hey, take care yeah?
