SINGAPORE : CPF members who want to sell their discounted SingTel shares in their CPF Account via SingPost have until 31 March 2007 to do so.

From April 1, they will have to go to a Singapore Exchange broking firm and open a trading account to sell the shares.

The price the post office charges for selling the shares - $17.95 plus GST and stock exchange fees - is less than half the minimum $40 charge (plus GST and fees) of broking firms.

SingPost was first appointed by the CPF Board two years ago as an interim transitional channel for members to sell their shares when the Authorised Trading Centre service at DBS Bank closed.

Members with enquiries can call CPF Call Centre at 1800-227-1188 or visit the CPF website for a list of broking firms.
