After thoughts of trip:
- Mekong Delta
Disappointing.. nothing much to see and i fell asleep during the river cruise. But to be fair, I think it is because the package I went for is not that interesting so my advice is to read thr the itinerary carefully!
- Cu Chi Tunnels
Fun! Come out aching for days after going thr the tunnel twice - ok, I'm weak :shifty3:
- War Remants Museum
Lots of pictures and war story.. rather depressing and sobering..
- Ben Thanh market
Over-rated! I had something climbed up my leg while waiting for boyfriend to finish his prawn noodles. I thought it was too big to be a fly so when I looked down to investigate, it was a coachroach!!!!
- 野味
Only dared to try a field cricket after my boyfriend took off everything except the body so it looked like a small fried onion. Tasted not too bad - like a peanut! Boyfriend braver.. he ate the cricket whole and had a deep fried scorpion too :disgust2:
- Motorbike ride through the city (most fun activity)
This activity is only for the stout-hearted! There is no regard for traffic rules, just how skillful you are at weaving in and out of the traffic. We rented a bike for a day. In the beginning, my boyfriend was observing traffic rules and driving carefully. By afternoon, he drives like a vietnamese - meaning forget the traffic lights/ rules, squeeze wherever you can and he even went against traffic (3 converging lanes FULL of bikes and cars) to turn into a side street! I was clutching him for dear life and he only laughed harder
