Not quite a language, i would say a platform, very powerfull, free, open, innovative, almost the best A right choice if you are wondering whether to learn it or not.

I don't - i'm a designer, but from my progranner's work i can see that it is a very good sollution, you can find lots of tutorials on the net as far as it is an open source platform.

I've been throught those websites, I'm actually for somebody who knows and understand so that he/she will be able to elaborate verbally and break it down in a simpler form. But thanks for the effort though.

I recommend that you get books from library to help u get started with RoR. From dummies book to expert book... RoR books are always available, haha no one borrow those... Its also better in a way that you pick up Ruby first...

Ruby-on-rail is great for site portal (IMHO)...especially for user published news...
I've been to quite a couple of time and their great..supporting a few hundred users at a go..
