who say ITE graduates can't even step a foot in uni?? there r some ITE graduates who make it to uni.. if for me, if i were to choose rp or ITE(higher nitec), i would prefer to go to higher nitec first n go poly after that.. why, u see

ITE(higher nitec wif go GPA)--> poly (sp or tp)--> uni (NUS or NTU)

first i build up my foundation in ITE, then do very well in poly..

i rather go sp or np or tp or nyp rather than rp..

Er.. go RP..
If u got a diploma in civil engineering in RP vs another person who has also a diploma in civil engineering but in SP..
Employer also wont say SP better, i'll take the SP grad instead of the RP grad.. its jus unreasonable.. Both are poly, so think of RP as a poly not a lousy poly.. most ppl think its lousy cus of the high cut-offpoint for the courses.. Its because RP is a new poly -.-
Ppl prefer to go polys tat are so called "experienced" ... Like me, frankly speaking, i also dun like and dun wan to go RP .. But its still a poly.. u get a poly cert from there.. its no diff from another poly cert..
NYP cert is no better den RP cert.. All is poly cert !!!!

i think you missed the pt..its quite wrong..the standing is diff..its not EQUAL..

It might seem unreasonable to you, but it's the sad truth. There is different standing between the different poly diplomas..

There is a quota on the number of poly grads that a uni can take it. Means, out of a class out 100, maybe only 10 (not too sure about the exact quota) from poly. And from these 10, RP grads have to compete with the grads from other polys. They can still make it, no one's saying that they can't, but the chances are lower, and you probably have to top your whole RP cohort to get it.

engineering will be easier to get in..but back to the topic..RP want get into uni is really damm hard..just take a relevant higher nitec course, and get a gd gpa, from there u can get direct admisson to poly yr 2..and u carry on from there..if any of u tell me that u cant get a gd enuff gpa to go direct to 2nd yr poly..then i say, forget abt uni education

Is true, but they can forget about local university but they can go to private degree

ITE Offer Good Courses Also Ok xD
Some ITE Student Had Gone Into NUS Liao , Long Run But Still Able To Make It But Though Little Ppl .
Per ITE Only About 3-4 In .
For your topic RP or ITE , it depend ur course i guess . some poly cert u go out can get $1300/mth
some ite can get you $1700/mth but for some other course might be de other way round .

most higher nitec courses are now 2years.

if your GPA maintain 3.7 - 4. wouldnt be a problem for u to proceed to poly and skip year 1. depending on wad course in poly you're continue to take on.

LOL Rumours rumours all the people spread rumours about RP....basically in RP....if u slack...u get SLACK Results....those people in RP that spread rumours about their own sch are basically because they couldnt do well even though it is a poly easier to get in than the rest....and what i mean by not doing well is not even reaching 3.0 GPA score at least....come on if RP so easy then go get GPA 4.0 lo.....can always try

trust me those who can get 3.8 and above are eligible for NUS mind you....And those complaining about RP are usually those gpas with 2.5 average...which are of cos the slackers....if u slack u will never get ur As which are gpa 3.5 and above....those slackers get average of C - C+ which they can kiss their dream gd bye of going into universities or even working in any company...if u have about gpa of 3.4 and above.....you are on ur way to uni

trust me i know many people who went and are doing well....and RP is easier to get in is not because it is a lousy poly...it is because it is a new school....and they trying to bring in more students
