ITE is NOT about Self study....The teacher will teach you new thing everyday....and if you don't know you can ask the teacher there....

In ITE...we do project more...

All I want is to be ordinary and normal person....why don't you give me a chance...?

RP = daily graded by lecturer and team member, also UT which is a online test and RJ aka Reflection Journal which you need to do everyday after lesson which is your homework and 5% will be counted into the semester

That's the situation that one of my friend's gf is facing. After one year, she's looking for a way out and an alternative path.

btw why tp IT cut off point so low than e rest of e poly?? when i check on e website, they put down there for ITE graduate to apply for tp IT must get minimum a gpa of 3, where else for other poly, gpa 2.5 can already apply.. why is that so??

I think people should stop taking the words "Nitec/Higher Nitec" and "Diploma" at face value. From the examples that has been brought forward, I think it clearly shows that the value of the diploma ranges between the poly. Eg. SP worth $2000, and RP worth $1000? So much so that I'm thinking that an RP diploma might even be worth as much as a Higher Nitec in the market today..

Based on the Career Guide 2008, poly grads get an average of $2k for their starting pay. In comparison, most Higher Nitec courses and a couple of Nitec courses (namely Mechatronic & Chemical Process Technology) are getting slightly more than $1.5k. If an RP diploma is worth less than an SP diploma, that would make it such that the value of the RP diploma is almost at par with the ITE certs. Proving one thing that it's not necessarily a bad idea to go to ITE.

No doubt...ITE education is better than you thought....It is just a poly with uniform...

In ITE I can speak Chinese, Singlish, Mandarin and even Dialect.....

Now...I can only speak in English...and Poly student all are high standard one...Sibei sianz...

Worried if I able to adapt poly after I graduate from ITE....

All I want is to be ordinary and normal person....why don't you give me a chance...?

regarding TP's IT i think it wasn't as good as IT in NYP.. becos i had choices of IT in 4 polys except NYP, my friend who's in IT of NYP told me their IT is the best amongst poly.. so.. .. ..

at the end of the day, we have choices.. you choose what you want to become or do.. it's yours..

Maybe because it's something new, it might take time for people to get used to it?
