im a all day gamer and im using a crap internet ( don wan mention name ) , the modem reset everytime in awhile everytime im playing games like warcraft frozen throne or pangya and cause me to disconnects and the connection is reset back, my internet totally pissed me off everytime i used it, =.= well this december holiday for me is a disater since i will play games almost everyday in this holiday and with this kind of internet, my modem sooner or later will be in pieces because of my frustration ROAR !!!!!! I HATE IT

From my previous exprience, i think that it's your modem which is faulty.
For my case,
I've used my modem for around 3-4years. And lately, my modem was screwed up. It'll disconnect, by showing up the red LED light; and then connects back again. Sometime it can last 5-10mins , sometime it lasted only 1-2mins =/

So,
I get myself another modem, for my case i am using singtel. I bought the modem for $103. You can take a look in challengers branches and see whether which modem you'll need.

Wow it hard to find a guy form my area . =D. Nice to meet you ~. btw mind if i ask.. is your Home Phone Noisy when your useing it. i forgot the kind of noise. but if there is .. it something wrong with your Phone line..

12 mths ago i was having this problem.. and my mom did not care.. untill she got Piss when she was useing the net. and so she decided to call in some technician to check on our phone line.. and FIX the Disconnection problem.

the technician once came to my house and fixed the phone line by putting a microfilter in my phone line and he said MY INTERNET IS FIXED... WTF liars god damm them SINGNET SUX ! pui ....

my line canot be changed cuz im using a 3 year free programme and everytime i call they say my internet is perfectly wellll ....
wtf man ...

maybe your com sux? well. i use singnet too 5mbps and they upgrade for us to 6mbps... wats urs? mine works very fine.. nutin happen even i play games.. even my bro play dota on hys laptop using our modem wireless, it works perfectly fine.... ((:

Ya , your Internet is working FINE. But your phone Line might not be fine. i got myself a few set of micro filter and they were all burnt .. so u told them your having disconnection problem .. so they used a Micro filter.. i had that.. but i told them.. even with the mirco filter there still problem. so try this out.. if you have a 'noisy' phone line (e.g. when talking you can hear crackles, pop's or any other kind of interference on the line) this can cause the modem to disconnect itself from mysingtel. Try seeing if your phone line works fine .. look at the wires wait i donnoe how to say this ...

LOL i don wan to flame .. but CONNECTION PROBLEM HAS NTH TO DO WITH COM !..

I'm using 12mpbs from starhub, nth leh, good!
i've never experience any disconnections, and i use wireless very very very frequently [like now]

urs dialup or what? i used to use dialup from singnet, everytime d/c nvm,
worse, u cant connect to it again! den keep calling the provider, and i remember shutting down n putting out wires like mad,
its best to change to a proper one lah, dial up vr sian de
