Li Shimin when he s Qin Prince or when he s the emperor?
i like Chinese history shows...
can learn a lot of stuff there...
also can see the actions tat i miz out in the books....

tink this is one of the few prosperous era in china history.personally i like li shiming alot.....

his only black mark s how he grabbed the throne....
wonder if he failed to control his concubines in his ltr yrs or his choice of heir...
tats when Wu ZheTian comes about....

not no one s perfect...
he s one of the best emperors/kings in the course of Chinese History...

It's nice to hear of people keen on Tang Dynasty. I do read some books & watch some programmes on this topic. It's quite rare for people to know about their past history & culture. David, looking forward to the interaction.

i read them becos i need them 4 my work n also interests....

li yuanji where got his turn to becum emperor so he go 'por' his big bro loh.wei zheng really a good official.li shiming cried heavily when he dies.....sad.

but i think some r folk legends or adapations, made into TV shows...
which one r the closest ones to the historical records????
大唐双龙传 definitely not one of them....
i prefer the China made ones cos i think much better than HK n Taiwan(the worse i think)....

i dun noe got so many pple read up on Chinese history....
actually Li Shimin depends largely on Wei Zhen 2 build the foundation of Tang....
he also a good teacher n adviser to Wei Zhen...
actually there r some occasions tat Wei Zhen scolded Li Shimin too(based on wat i had read in the historical records n analysis)...
