Default Reel Revolution - Short Film Competition

REEL REVOLUTION
– “Reflections of the ASEAN Community”
A Short Film Programme and Competition by
The Substation Moving Images and
The Singapore Institute of International Affairs
26 MAY to 14 JULY 2007

It’s not just another video competition; it’s about getting youths
together to share their views on social issues regarding the ASEAN
community; and making films with a ripple effect.

Youths will be mentored through the production of a four-minute
video essay, present their work and topic at the Powwow, and vie for top
three cash prizes in the student and open categories. The two first-prize
winners will be awarded a further $2,500 prize to produce a short film
.

Please join us at the Introductory Seminar on 26 May, 9am to 5pm at
Conference Hall, School of Accounting, Singapore Management University.
Hear from Glenn Lim, Wee Li Lin, Don Salubayba and other speakers. Find
out how to make a short film with maximum impact, what young ASEAN
filmmakers are doing to expand the possibilities of film, and how to make
a video essay. And meet last year's top Reel Revolution filmmakers.
Registration is SGD$10 per person, via www.gatecrash.com.sg from 2nd May
to 25 May, or through The Substation Hotline, 6337 7800. For details and
updates, visit revolution.youth.sg or call 6337 7535 / 6734 9600..

Reel Revolution is brought to you by HSBC; Official Online Media:
Youth.SG; Venue Partner: Singapore Management University; Supporters: the
Singapore Film Commission, Media Development Authority with MediAction!,
National Youth Council, Objectifs Centre for Photography and Filmmaking,
National Library Board and Gatecrash.

Please do help spread the word!:p
