Default Recommending a good stock simulation game

http://vse.marketwatch.com/Game/Homepage.aspx

A good web game for beginners wanting to learn the stock trading basics or those self-proclaimed "experts". The game time and operation is based on real time US Stock data. Before you dump in your simulated "cash", u can do research by accessing any financial reports and news on any US company.

Anyone have other good stock simulator games to recommend?:biggrin4:

Tried TradersHub. Not too bad, it provides quite a good feel to stock trading, but its features are still limited. Hope to see the website grow in the near future.

A noob question here: Is the concept of investing in US stocks same as SGX Mkt? Coz factors affecting the fluctuation of the shares may varies per country?

Sorry! I'm real noob in stock market!

i have not done any american stocks before
but i guess it will be slightly more complex as their market is way bigger than sgx? and therefore more factors that will affect the overall performance of their index?

erm if i am not wrong SGX is slightly government controlled (prices cannot go too high) but in US it is a free market... thats why the most ex stock is 110k USD per unit lol.... everyday plus minus 1k+

but it is still the same concept anyway

i'm not too sure, but i dont believe even the singapore government can control the prices in SGX... In any case, the US stock market is very huge and its very international - quite different to SGX in that sense, i guess..

stock prices are influenced by 2 things, greed and fear. It's the same around the world.

but DOW can don need to buy 1 lot, 1 share can buy also
STI need to buy at least 1 lot unless indicated. which is 1, 000 shares

u can also use a trading account then paper trade lo. which is also possible. just don get hand itch n key in orders.

Do some reading on fundamental analysis (FA) and technical analysis (TA) before u touch the stock market.

I will make 1 post about TA
