Hi Joseph, actually it depends on your interests and budget. Places like Vietnam, Myanmar and Thailand for example has rich culture that is rather unspoiled and it isn't too expensive. Philippines is a nice country to go to as well but it is a bit poluted in the city area but the rural areas are quite nice and the people there are really friendly. I do agree that Japan is a nice place to go to but it can be a bit more expensive than other parts of Asia. You can try Korea too and I mean south only. Lol. Btw, have you considered China? Some parts of China have excellent sights and scenaries.

If you like beaches and watersports for example, you can go to Langkawi, Labuan, Bintan, and Bali for example.

So far, in Asia, I have only been to Indonesia, Thailand, Vietnam, Philippines, China and Taiwan. In the near future, I would like to go to Myanmar, Korea and Japan next when I have the time but I am sure that there are people in this forum that has travelled more than me and will be able to give you more advice and help.

Time is a companion that goes with us on a journey. It reminds us to cherish each moment, because it will never come again.
What we leave behind is not as important as how we have lived.

How about taking train all the way from Singapore to Eastern Russia / Manchuria area?...

You'll see ALL of east Asia on the way... Takes about 1 month to complete the journey...

What's your main objective for the trip? Like more for relaxation/spa/water sports or shopping/eating or scenary?
