Jatukarm Ramathep is a god associated with wealth, success and happiness. People who wear a Jatukarm talisman believe the deity will help grant their wishes. Jatukarm was an 8th century king.
“He ruled over Nakorn Si Thammarat. When he died, many who worshipped him had their wishes granted. But he was only a secondary deity and not particularly revered.

JTK amulets are mainly made with some powder or metal. The monk can only make JTK on a special day; only on a day with the sun encircled by a halo which looks like this: halo.jpg
The halo is actually caused by ice crystals in thin clouds in the upper atmosphere, the crystals behave like tiny lenses and as they are all similar in shape refract the light at 22 degrees which corresponds to the radius of the sun halo.
Sometimes they painted gold on the JTK or a layer of paint to make it look like ceramic. Some also made with mixed powder, then u can see colourful JTK. Mine is black powdered. The seller told me JTK is a "black" king. He himself also wear black powdered JTK and the powdered ones seem to fetch more value. Some also have charm symbols written on the JTK. There are JTK amulets which cost 2 million baht.
There are also fake JTK selling in Thai and I havn't learn how to differentiate. The seller told me it's not real if there's no smell (powdered ones). I saw some in MBK with a hole underneath the circumfrence of the JTK amulet and I felt the material different so I reckon these may be fake ones. But the retailer would say things like they wouldn't dare to sell fake ones or they will accumulate bad karma.

can u take a photo of the back and let me see?
from wat i know black powdered amulets belongto a certain element but of cos there are those colourful colourful types(but than i may be wrong cos i dont do no reasearch on jtk),as in no fixed number of pieces are made and if its a limited edition u will see the serial number on tha amulet itself
