POSB got alot of ATMs and I heard it is the lowest minimum amount quota to open a bank account in spore.
Other banks need like at least $ 600 to $1000 to open one.

You better select your 6-digit pin number for your atm card and perfect your signature!
You'll need to do alot of signing !

I believe that your account is the POSBKids account. The bank will automatically change your account type to a normal account after you're above 12 years of age. Hence I think its no longer the kids account. You may retain your account, POSB provides good service.

Has the most number of ATMs in Singapore.

Is there any bank account in singapore that will waive the $2 service charge for people under 21? beside POSB kids?

and if I upgrade it to basic account...do I need to pay $2?

UOB? OCBC?

I think you still don't get my point. You should be 20 now, I guess? When you were 12, POSB changed your account to a normal savings account. Its no longer POSBKids account. I know you still got that kiddy little book with that tiger-looking animal on it, but if you were to go to a bank to get your passbook changed, they'll issue you the adult one. There's no service charge for this account (that's why I like it), just that if your balance falls below $500, you'll be charged $2.

You can get an ATM card from POSB as well.

OCBC is the best personal bank account. If corporate is UOB. Citibank sucks like hell, same like POSB.
