Question..

If i borrow $50 from Mr. A
and i borrow another $50 from Mr. B
and i buy a pant which sell at $97 dollar
i got $3 dollar back

so i return Mr. A $1
and i return Mr. B $1
and i left $1

which mean i owe Mr. A $49
and i owe Mr. B $49
i add up both of the money which becomes $98
and i plus my remaining $1 in
why is it $99 ?
where did the other $1 go?

my friend say it is a IQ qns rather then a mathematic qns.

why u plus ur own one lehs ?
u shld plus the two dollars that u have returned them . nt the one dollar dat u have eaten .
ur own one dollar is included in the $98 because u still owe them .

Yes your 1dollar on hand = the money u still owe them jus tat u chose to keep it to urself for the time benig.

Spent: $97, extra = $3.
Returned = $2.
So owe them = $98.

(Owe) (Returned) (Borrowed)
$98 + $2 = $100. Correct mah!

skip the borrowing part..

pant = 97

97 - 100 = 3

then i return mr. a - 1
i also return mr. b - 1

so total 98

then if i add in my 1
it will become 99
so why less 1 dollar ?

I think i got it..

u see..

Pant = 97.
Since u borrow the same amount from 2 ppl.. u divide the cost into 2.. which will result in 48.50..

So A's 50 - 48.50 = 1.50
den B's 50 - 48.50 = 1.50

u returned 1 dollar each.. so its 1.50 - 1 = 50 cents each..

and 50cents * 2... u still owe them 1 dollar? hahaha wild guess.
