heloha i think since the sgclub do not have an appropriate art section for drawings and sketches, i think i'll start a thread related to it. here fellow artists from singapore can discuss and show their wips and completed work and tell us your own views on your own work =D hope to see some art enthus around here.


i will start the ball rolling with a new wip of a christina drawing of mine.



at this moment this work is less than an hour so i am still creating the basics of the drawing. i will change some parts of the proportions and when the basics are done ( shaping n all that ), i will add details for the hair lips and so on. i will also be layering the shades, adding highlights and building the shadings for the face and hands to make it more textured and more contrast. now that i am using a good quality smooth A3 paper i will be able to go darker easily. btw its taken by a 2 mega pixels phone hence the blurr quality. i might ask a friend to take a picture of the completed version i guess =)

hi i have been wondering how do i practice all the shadings well. o should start on a drawing with ref that has all the shades of the skin and wadeva appropriate at where it lies. i gotta practice abit of shading, so i put all my other wips on hold i did this around 3 hrs so far. this is christina aguilera on her stripped era.

i will be still adjusting some part and shadings and adding a whole lot of details to the hair. i will fill out the lips too, havent added much shading there. taken once again with my stupid phone ha so its actually clearer and a tad darker than it shows here. just hate how the quality make the lines of the eyelids look smudged.... comment and advices are welcomed!

this took mayb 6-7 hours to far ( very long indeed ). most of the time was wasted on trying to figure out what was wrong with the drawing. i later saw that the lips ( mouth ) should be lowered. so i did that and i will broaden the right side of her face here. the hair you all see here is just rough shading, later on i will make the proportions and smoothen the hair. comments are welcomed and constructive advice too welcomed!
