There is this 31 yr old guy who confessed to a 19 yr old girl but the latter is doubting if the guy really meant it cos it may be that he's just playing with her. But he has been very sweet and protective of her and he also mentioned that at this point in his life he wants a commitment and eventually marriage. But the girl is only 19, should she go ahead with this guy who loved her and willing to commit to him even though this is only her first relationship? In case you may ask, the girl likes the man as he really touches her heart in many way but she doesn't love him yet.

Marriage is a life-long commitment. There is no hurry for that. Keep her options open. Gotta get her to imagine her staying with this guy for at least the next 30-50 years together. Is that the kind of guy she wants to be with everyday?

i'll say, it is not impossible. i have a colleague whose husband is older than her by 11 years old. think they got married when she was in her early 20s. until now, her husband is still very loving and dotes on her. though of cos, he is more old-fashioned.

for your friend, if she feels touched and also likes the guy, i'll support her decision to go into a relationship with the man. however, you can't deny that there are risks that the guy could be just playing with her. so the relationship should go slow so that she has the time to judge his character and his true feelings towards her.

but marriage is really too soon to tell. and, also, no hanky panky!!

Happiness is not found at the end of the road, it is experienced along the way.

So take not for granted each moment of your life and you will find a reason to be happy each day.

I agree with mrleech. Since she is still so young, I also think she should take it slow especially since this is her first relationship and the guy could be a very experience player.

P.S. I am not saying all older guys are like that but I have seen some older guys two-timing their gfs by conning younger girls. So it always pays to be a bit more careful.

Yes, at 19 years old, the girl is still young, with so much in the world yet to be experienced. To be tied down so early in life, I feel it isn't to the best of one's overall development.

Then again, there are always exceptions, but they are EXCEPTIONS, not the norm.
