PM, Ministers to read out shorter lines for Oath of Office in future SINGAPORE : The next time the Prime Minister, Ministers or Parliamentary Secretaries take their Oath of Office, they would probably be reading shorter lines.
This will happen after an amendment to the Constitution of the Republic of Singapore has been passed by Parliament.
The Bill was introduced in Parliament during Monday's sitting.
Other matters being addressed in the constitutional amendments include providing for the appointment of alternate members to the Council of Presidential Advisors when anyone of them, other than the Chairman, is temporarily unable to take part in the proceedings, and enhancing the personnel management system in the Singapore legal service. |
